Executive summary
WG-CIMS (the Music Imaging working-group) is focusing on the Multimedia Music Imaging aspects of the network. This working group is interested in all processes of a digital music document library life-cycle, exploring the issues on the digitisation, representation, restoration, image processing and automatic transcription of music documents; digitising paper-based music scores and manuscripts, in order to explore effective use of the latest interactive and multimedia technologies for cultural heritage restoration and preservation of music scores and manuscripts.
Lord Mayer of Leeds, Councillor Taggart was presented the WEDELMUSIC 2003 proceedings and discussed MUSICNETWORK related Music Imaging activities at his recent visit to ICSRiM, University of Leeds.
